Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be. GENERAL INTERCESSIONS PRIEST’S Reflecting on the heroic witness of the Marian martyrs, INTRODUCTION Blesseds Anthony and George, we lift our hearts to heaven, presenting our needs and petitions to God the Father. INTENTIONS 1. For all religious, that they may have the courage and fortitude to overcome all tribulations and continually give their lives for Christ and his Church, let us pray to the Lord. Response: Lord, hear our prayer. 2. For the Orthodox churches, that they may return to full union with the Catholic Church, let us pray to the Lord. ℟. 3. For our community, that we may look to the martyrs as models of holiness, and persevere in our faith, so as to attain the crown of everlasting glory, let us pray to the Lord. ℟.
