18 SAINT JOAN OF FRANCE GOSPEL Matthew 13:44-46 He sells all that he has and buys that field. ✠ A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew Jesus said to the crowds: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it.” The Gospel of the Lord. GENERAL INTERCESSIONS PRIEST’S Today as we celebrate INTRODUCTION the memorial of Saint Joan of France, let us humbly pour forth our prayers to God the Father (who calls us to live according to the Marian Constitutions). INTENTIONS 1. That we may pray and labor for the salvation of souls and the glory of God with the same zeal of Saint Joan, let us pray to the Lord. Response: Lord, hear our prayer. 2. That we may, by following Saint Joan’s example, always seek God’s will in all things, let us pray to the Lord. ℟. 3. That God may grant the sick courage and patience in their suffering, let us pray to the Lord. ℟. 4. That with the help of God’s grace, we will be models for the world of Our Lady’s virtues, let us pray to the Lord. ℟.
