MARCH March 1 On March 1st we remember Father JOSEPH of ALL SAINTS NOWAKOWICZ (No-va-ko-veech) who made his profession of solemn vows on this day in 1701. The date of his death is unknown. He was the first priest ordained in our Institute. Ever faithful to his vocation, he received formation from our holy Father Founder and attained under his direction a high degree of sanctity. It was from his hands that Saint Stanislaus Papczyński received the last sacraments. He was an Assistant General and served many times as President of the monastery in Puszcza Korabiewska, where he died and is buried in the crypt of the church. In 1946, Father JOHN SENKUS, a member of the Lithuanian Province, died at the age of 76. He was a priest for 51 years and a religious for 16. He is buried in Marijampolė. March 2 On March 2, 1784, Brother ANTHONY ROSOŁOWICZ (Ro-so-woveech), was found dead at the door of his cell at the monastery in Berezdów (Bear-ez-doov) at the age of 80. He was admired for his diligent and humble service for the community. He is buried in the crypt of the church in Berezdów. In 1845, Father ADAM RYMOWICZ (Ree-mo-veech), a “Father of the Order,” seriously ill for 16 years, died at the monastery in Marijampolė at the age of 68. He was a religious for 49 years. Always humble, frugal, and hard-working, he fulfilled various offices including Assistant of the Order, President in Marijampolė, and Rector in Igliauka (Eeg-lao-ka). He is buried in Marijampolė. March 3 On March 3, 1769, Brother GASPAR TURSKI (Toor-ski) perished in the fire of the monastery in Skórzec at the age of 36. He was eulogized as an “exquisite man.” He is buried in the crypt of the church in Skórzec.
