mAy m Ay 1 On May 1, 1771, Father VICTOR DEKORBE died and was buried in the crypt of the Berezdov church. In 1808, Brother BERNARD KARALEWICZ (Karalevich) died at the age of 69 at the monastery in Puszcza Korabiewska. He was a religious for 38 years. He is buried in the crypt of the Puszcza Korabiewska church. m Ay 2 On May 2, 1755, Father JOHN PODPUSZ (Pod-push), a Czech by birth, died at the monastery in Góra Kalwaria, where he is buried. In 1762, Brother AMBROSE RUDZIŃSKI (Roo-dz’in’ski), age 55, a reli- gious for five years, died at the Raśna monastery where he is buried. In 1830, Father SEBASTIAN STEPHENAMBROŻEWICZ (Am-bro-zhe- vich) died at the age of 68 at the monastery in Marijampolė, where he is buried. m Ay 3 On May 3, 1746, Father ALEXIS GARGALSKI , Procurator of the Order, died at the monastery in Goźlin. He was the first lector of philosophy and theology in the Order. He also excelled as a promoter of musical art and was highly regarded as a “most zealous observer of the law.” He in buried in Goźlin. In 1766, Father LADISLAUS KANOBROCKI (Kano-brot-ski) died at the age of 68 at the monastery in Skórzec. He fulfilled the office of General Superior for three years. He is buried in the crypt of the church in Skórzec. In 1931, Father JOHN LEITANS died of tuberculosis of the bone at the age of 38 at the house in Viļāni, Latvia. He was a priest for 13 years and a religious for 5. He was an expert in ecclesiastical ceremonies. As a Marian, he studied at Rome and attained his Doctorate in Canon Law. Upon his return to Latvia, he held the office of novice master and as instructor at the Riga seminary. He is buried near the church in Viļāni.
