A PRIL In 1814, Father ADAM MATULEWICZ (Matoo-le-vitch) died at the age of 70 at the monastery in Berezdov. He was president of this monastery and superior of the Russian Province starting in 1803. He was buried in the crypt of the Berezdov church. In 1853, Father STANISLAUS JACUŃSKI (Ya-tsun'-ski), president of the monastery inMiroslavas, died inWarsaw at the age of 48 from a stroke. He is buried in Warsaw. In 1986, Father VLADIMIR OKOŃSKI (Okon'-ski), age 68, unexpectedly died of a heart attack at the London house. He was a religious for 41 years and a priest for 35. He joined our Congregation in Poland after completing his studies in Rome, and took up residence in England. He conducted a very intense apostolate in education and a very successful youth apostolate in Warsaw, Rome, England and Canada. He wrote many articles and books for the youth on ethics and education. He is buried in the cemetery in Henley-on-Thames, England. In 2016, Father JOSEPH PETRAITIS , a member of theAsian Vicariate, died in the Mary MacKillop Nursing Home in Kensington, South Australia, near Adelaide, on Divine Mercy Sunday. He was 94 years old, a religious for 68 years, and a priest for 64. He is buried in Adelaide. In 2021, Father LOUIS MEYERHOLZ , a member of the Polish Province, passed away at the hospice in Wołomin, near Warsaw. He lived for 79 years, was a religious for 60 years, and a priest for 52. He served in various Marian parishes in Poland as a catechist, pastor and house superior. He spent the last years of his life patiently dealing with serious health issues in our religious house in Warsaw – Praga. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ section of the Wawrzyszew cemetery in Warsaw. A PrIl 4 On April 4, 1777, Father HYACINTH WASILEWSKI (Vasee-lefski), a “Father of the Order,” president of the monastery and assistant general, died at the age of 60 at the monastery in Marijampolė. He fulfilled the office of General Superior with greatest diligence for seven years. He is buried in Marijampolė. In 1806, Father THEOPHILUS PETTER died at the monastery in Miroslavas, at the age of 51. A religious for 29 years, he held various offices in the Order and was remembered as a “good worker in the vineyard of the Lord” because of his pastoral activity. He is buried in Miroslavas. 55
