† A LBUM OF THE D ECEASED F ATHERS AND B ROTHERS † 48 In 1946, Father JOSEPHRAKICKAS , a member of the Lithuanian Province, died at the age of 38 at the forced labor camp of Inta, Siberia, where he was deported by the Communists. He was a religious for 18 years and a priest for 10. He is buried in the prison camp cemetery. In 1987, Father JOSEPH VAIŠNORA died in Rome at the age of 82. He was a religious for 59 years and a priest for 54. He studied in Rome and received his doc- torates in philosophy and theology there. In 1949, after spending 10 years in Lithuania and Germany, he took up residence in Rome, fulfilling successively the offices of general treasurer, Procurator General, and general councilor. As the pos- tulator general, he contributed significantly to the successful outcome of the beati- fication process of our Renovator, Blessed George. He was distinguished by his steadfast diligence and known and respected as the author of various articles and books, as well as for his conferences transmitted to Lithuania over the Vatican Radio. He is buried in the Marian tomb in Campo Verano. m ArCh 19 On March 19, 1743, Father BERNARD OSTROWSKI (Ost-rof-sky) died at the monastery in Skórzec. He had been elected twice to the office of General Superior. He was a vigorous defender of the Order and promoter of philosophical and theological studies. Due to his efforts, two monasteries were constructed and existing ones enlarged. He is buried in crypt of the Skórzec church. In 1812, Father HILARYORŁOWSKI (Or-wof-ski), a “Father of the Order,” died at the age of 87 at the monastery in Skórzec. A religious for 56 years and a priest for 54, he was highly regarded for his integrity of life and regular observance. He is buried in crypt of the Skórzec church. m ArCh 20 On March 20, 1779, Father VINCENT SZUMŁA (Shoom-wa) died at the monastery in Berezdov, at the age of 40. He was a most diligent preacher. Known for his gentility and prudence, he fulfilled the office of local superior and lector of philosophy. He was buried in the crypt of the Berezdov church. In 1941, Brother JOHN BUDRECKAS , a member of the Lithuanian Prov- ince, died in Lithuania at the age of 30. He was a religious for 11 years. He is buried in Marijampolė. m ArCh 21 OnMarch 21, 1700, Brother JOSEPH of SAINTJOHN died at the monastery in Puszcza Korabiewska, where he is buried.
