In 1814, FatherMICHAELZDANOWSKI , stricken with malaria, died at the age of 40 while serving as a chaplain at the parish church in Ryki. He is buried in Ryki. In 1930, Father JOHN KATYLIUS died at the age of 76 at the house in Marijampolė. He was a priest for 51 years. He entered our Congregation at the age of 67. He was highly regarded for his humility, poverty, religious observance, and apostolic zeal. He is buried in Marijampolė. In 1987, Brother JOHNMAGAZNIEKS , a member of the Latvian Province, died at the parish house in Izvalta at the approximate age of 100. He was a religious for 48 years. He was particularly esteemed for his services as sacristan in the parish- es administered by the Marians. He is buried in the cemetery in Izvalta. m ArCh 17 On March 17, 1847, Father FRANCIS STANKIEWICZ (Stan-k'evich), age 60, died at the Góra Kalwaria monastery, where he is buried. In 1887, Father ONUFRIUS SZYRWID (Shir-vid) died at the age of 83 in Spassk, Siberia. He was a religious for 61 years (the major part of which he had to live outside the community), and a priest for 54. In 1832, he was forced by the Russian government to abandon community life as a punitive measure. Afterwards, he became pastor in Wasiliszki and served there for 30 years. In 1863, he was deported to Siberia for his participation in the uprising. He is buried in Spassk, Siberia. In 1976, the Lay Affiliate PETER VALENTUKEVIČIUS , of the American Province of St. Casimir, died at the age of 82 at the house in Marianapolis, Connecticut. He was highly regarded for his diligence and piety. He is buried in Marianapolis. In 1992, Brother ANTHONY MICIKEVIČIUS, a professed member of the Lithuanian Province for 60 years, died at the age of 82. He served the community as a farmer and sacristan in various houses. He is buried in the cemetery in Paluo- menes, in the portion reserved for the Marians. m ArCh 18 On March 18, 1712, Brother SIMON of SAINT MICHAEL died at the monastery in Puszcza Korabiewska, where he is buried.
