His confreres were greatly impressed especially by his benevolence towards others and by his ardent, childlike devotion. He is buried in Licheń. In 2019, Father VICTOR KRAWCZYK died in the hospital in Konin, Poland. A member of the Polish Province, he was 89 years old, a religious for 69 years and a priest for 61. He ministered in various Polish parishes as a parish vicar, catechist, assistant in pastoral ministry, and house superior. From 1972 to 1973, he assisted our confreres in Argentina. During the last years of his life, he worked at the shrine in Licheń. He bore his declining health with meekness and humility. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ cemetery in Licheń. m ArCh 14 On March 14, 1809, Father LEONARD ŁASK I (Wa-ski) died at the age of 69 at the monastery in Skórzec and he is buried there. In 1851, Father CHARLES ŁAPIŃSKI (Wa-pin'-ski), a “Father of the Order,” died at the age of 58 at the monastery in Marijampolė, where he is buried. In 1966, Father VINCENT DVARANAUSKAS died in Marijampolė at the age of 95. He was a religious for 54 and a priest for 67 years. He was one of the first Marians of our renewed Institute and received his formation from Blessed George in Fribourg, Switzerland. He was also one of the leaders of the rebirth and develop- ment of the Congregation in Lithuania, and especially of the monastery in Marijam- polė. He was the local superior of various houses, and from 1950, superior of the dispersed Lithuanian Province. He has been much esteemed for his piety and exem- plary religious life. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ cemetery in Marijampolė. In 1991, the Lay Affiliate JOSEPH PIASKOWSKI died at the age of 93 in a nursing home in Lenox, Massachusetts, where he had been a patient for several years. Ukrainian by birth, he was sent to a forced labor camp in Germany by the Nazi authority during World War II. A few years after the war, he was accepted by theAmerican Province of St. Stanislaus Kostka as a lay affiliate. He served the com- munity in Stockbridge as a barber and assistant in various manual labors. He lived a life of strict poverty. The community was edified by his profound piety. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ cemetery on Eden Hill in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. m ArCh 15 On March 15, 1719, Father BARTHOLOMEWof the PRESENTATION of the BLESSED VIRGIN MARY died at the monastery in Goźlin and is buried there.
