He is scheduled to be ordained to the Priesthood in the near future. Joe Risi, a nationally prominent real estate developer, testifies to the power of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and how the prayer saved his life and then dramat- ically transformed his future. In September 2001, Joe found a pamphlet with the Divine Mercy Chaplet on the ground by “chance.” Shortly after, he was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. His wife and he started praying the Chaplet, and several months later his doctors told him that the disease had disappeared. As a result, he started to work with the Marian Fathers to spread devotion to Divine Mercy. Dana Scallon, international singing sensation, became an overnight star after winning Ireland’s prestigious Eurovision Song Contest as a teenager. This launched her extraordinary music career, her songs reaching the top of the charts several times, eventually leading her to have her own television series on the British Broadcasting Corporation. Dana began writing Christian music after Pope John Paul II’s visit to Ireland in 1979. She and her husband, Damien, co-wrote “Totus Tuus,” after the Pope’s apostolic motto. She also wrote the theme for the 1993 World Youth Day, “We Are One Body,” leading over 280,000 young people in song before the Holy Father. In the 1990s, Dana hosted her own music and talk-show for the Eternal Word Television Network. In 1997 and 2011, she was nominated to run for president of Ireland, campaigning on core Catholic values, especially the right to life. In 1999, she was elected to the European Parliament, where she served until 2004. She’s won several highly acclaimed awards for her tireless work defending life. In 2006, Dana and her husband founded their own music ministry, DS Music Productions, releasing several music and prayer albums, including “The Divine Mercy.” Dana lives in Galway, Ireland, and remains in demand as an accomplished singer and speaker, continuing to defend Catholic values and the right to life.
